Located along the Chaopraya River in Bangkok, Thailand, the Riverside Garden project consists of three, 30-story residential towers located above a seven-story podium. Tower 1 is a luxury hotel, Tower 2 contains high-end rental apartments, while Tower 3 was developed as condominium apartments. The podium contains the community functions for each tower, including reception lobbies, restaurants, a spa, a conference center, offices and support spaces. The hotel lobby is a three-story space with panoramic views of the river and serves as the entry to the spa and conference center. The roof of the podium is used as exterior community space and includes separate pools and gardens at the base of each tower.
Iu+Bibliowicz Architects was charged with the interior architectural design of all three towers and their respective community spaces within the podium. Due to the difference in development strategies for each tower, specific requirements were implemented for apartment types, layouts, finishes, and furniture. The firm worked closely with the developer to ensure that the interior architectural design informed the development of each building's structural system and exterior envelope in a holistic design approach to create a specific identity for each tower.
