Completed in September 2001, this project consisted of designing the public and executive offices for the Louis Dreyfus Corporation's headquarters in Wilton, CT. This "H" shaped low-rise office building contains two expansive wings of trading, administrative and support spaces connected by a "bridge." Employees and guests enter at separate ends of the bridge structure.

The reception area marks the beginning of a sweeping curved wall of aluminum and glass, enclosing a series of conference rooms. With the use of different types of glass panels, the feeling of enclosure changes to provide varying levels of privacy and transparency. The boardroom, with a 30-foot Nakashima Claro Walnut table, is located at the center of the bridge, which has broad views of the surrounding landscape. The executive offices are located at the end of a Bubinga wood paneled art gallery.

The materials and finishes utilized are a juxtaposition of light and dark wood veneers (Sycamore and Bubinga); light and dark stones (Bianco Perlino and Split Face Serpentine); various textured and clear glass panels trimmed with clear, anodized aluminum or metallic light gray paint on metal. The simple, exquisitely detailed spaces are the perfect backdrop for the extensive corporate art collection.
