The Walk is an interactive, multimedia experience in the underground passageway, linking 45th and 46th Streets in Times Square, designed to communicate to the public about Bertelsmann's contributions to the entertainment and media industry.

This project combined interactive screens, LCD, LED and other multimedia modes with an "organically shaped tensile structure" and a theatrical lighting sequence. It was designed in association with FTL Happold and Kugler Tillotson Associates.

This 200-ft passageway transforms every surface within the existing space with light, movement and audio-visual information that not only informs but also excites and intrigues the public with Bertelsmann's vision.

The technology incorporated in this passageway allows Bertelsmann to modify the passageway information continuously and effortlessly. Daily updates to address market changes, new promotions and creations can be easily implemented.
